Positive spill-over effects occur with heightened demand for local services during construction and beyond, creating a powerful economic driver for Steuben County.

MORE REVENUE

A combined $25 to $32 Million in funds coming back to Steuben County annually in the form of gaming tax, property tax, local distribution agreements, and foundation grants could secure long-term prosperity for our county. Primely poised with our Interstate 69/Toll Road corridor, 62% of gaming revenue would originate outside of Indiana.



Northeast Indiana has been identified by the state gaming commission as an ideal casino location due to unmet market demand and lower competitive risk to existing operations.

Steuben County already is a premier recreational wonderland, and now has the potential to become a new regional entertainment hub with the addition of a casino resort.

Featuring over 101 Lakes and Pokagon State Park, fun truly wins with year-round activities like hiking, boating, and the toboggan run. Known for its natural beauty, the area offers independent restaurants for foodies, a local winery, and many boutiques and shops. Throughout our various small towns, charm abounds.

A casino would enhance the county’s ability to compete for entertainment tourism regionally. When visitors stay, dollars are kept in the state infusing our own local economy, rather than being spent in Ohio or Michigan.

Steuben County already benefits from a strong seasonal economy, particularly during the summer months. A casino would help stabilize the local economy year-round by attracting visitors during off-season months. This would create more consistent revenue for local businesses and support full-time employment rather than short-term, seasonal jobs—an important factor in long-term economic sustainability.
